I've never met anyone like Elisabeth; she is strong and fearless, always encouraging and pushing me to become a better version of myself.
When we both entered into adulthood, we went from being fifteen minutes from each other to being miles and miles away. Our schedules were crowded responsibilities and crammed with school assignments causing us to see one another only when we visited family in our hometown for holidays. Still to this day we don't live in the same state, but I've never felt closer to her because she still continues to cheer me on and impact my life in the best ways. Today I am reminded of how life brings us through crazy seasons, takes us to different places, but always leaves room for the most important people. Her friendship refreshes me and inspires me to go beyond my fears + insecurities.
Now Elisabeth lives in Washington DC while attending American University for her MA in Public Relations. She is impacting not only our generation but the world. She is not ashamed of who she is or what she stands for. I cherish every piece of advice that she gives me because she is so wise; constantly motivating herself to learn more and more each day. Though most of our communication comes from FaceTime or texting, I got to visit her last week (thanks to my freaking amazing mother who surprised me with a plane ticket) and explore her city while taking pictures and having conversations about life, our struggles, and what fuels our souls.
